El viernes 10 de marzo, la Comisión Directiva del CAI otorgó la distinción de Socio Honorario al Dr. Juan Martín Maldacena, físico teórico argentino, a través de una conversación que mantuvo con el Ing. Pablo Bereciartúa, Presidente del CAI. Maldacena es egresado del Instituto Balseiro y Doctor en Física por la Universidad de Princeton. Se recibió en 1991 con la tesis “Teoría de cuerdas en espacios curvos”. Profesor titular en la Universidad de Harvard (1999-2001), fue considerado el profesor vitalicio más joven en la historia de esa Universidad, también se desempeñó en el Instituto de Estudios Avanzados de Princeton desde el 2001 hasta la actualidad. |
